Draft for the beta, not yet reviewed by a lawyer. The software is open source under its own licenses; these terms cover the hosted service only.

The service

Honeypot is an experimental spam filter. It decides which texts from unknown senders go to Junk, and it will sometimes be wrong in both directions. Do not rely on it for anything where a missed or misfiled text causes harm. Codes and bank alerts are protected by rule, but no filter is perfect. Check Junk now and then.

Fair use

Background filtering is rate limited. Do not use the service to build message-classification datasets of other people's texts, to attack it, or to resell it. We can block abusive traffic.

Availability

The beta has no uptime promise. If the server is down or slow, your phone leaves the text where it is and nothing is lost.
